FedEx To Cough Up $27M In Calif. Driver Case

Law360, New York (December 08, 2008) -- FedEx Corp.'s ground unit has agreed to pay about $27 million to settle a lawsuit accusing it of misclassifying about 200 California drivers as independent contractors.

In the deal finished Friday, approximately $14.5 million will go to the drivers who were allegedly misclassified, plaintiffs' attorney Lynn Rossman Faris said....
