Audit Blasts OSHA Program For High-Risk Employers

Law360, New York (April 02, 2009) -- An internal audit at the U.S. Department of Labor has found that the Bush administration failed to follow proper workplace inspection procedures for employers with past safety violations at 45 work sites where 58 employees later died.

The DOL's Office of Inspector General released a report Tuesday citing the failures of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Enhanced Enforcement Program between October 2003 and March 2008....
