LA Contractor Can't Force Arbitration: Calif. Court

Law360, New York (May 01, 2009) -- A California appeals court has ruled that an agreement between a Los Angeles school district and a number of trade unions governing labor policies for the district's effort to improve its facilities does not require workers who have accused the contractors of failing to pay the prevailing wage rate to arbitrate their claims.
